A Turkish Journey

Sometimes, if you're curious, web-wandering can take you on a different type of journey.

Today I began with Erkan's blog and followed his link through to an article on the 'Reliability of Turkish Press' in Turkish Torque's site.

The site is run by Ugur Akinci and I wanted to know more about the man who created it. Googling him, I became curious about the site this second, quite different piece of his work, titled Polynomial was hosted on and digging deeper I found Mission of the Light Millennium Inc. and was intrigued by an organisation that has a mission statement that begins with:
To provide an international platform for the free expression of ideas and experiences in order to foster a global connection among all people;
To engender harmony and synergy among the nations of the world, including but not limited to synergy between Turkey and Greece;
To promote social welfare for the people of Turkey, Greece and the United States;
To conduct research, compile and publish information concerning art, literature, and ideas, including, but not limited to, ideas about the future ...

Obviously there's more but it was a good journey, not quite like the real thing but important nonetheless for the days when the misinformation of mainstream media on Turkey threatens to overwhelm a soul.
