I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

Drinking As A Religion?
Yesterday Debbie and I slipped into het Elfde Gebod, otherwise known as The Eleventh Commandment and in seeking santuary from the rain and the cold, we had found an ideal place to engage in enlightened conversation.
Today, frozen and wandering in Bruges, we found ourselves in De Stoepa ... which translates as The Stupa and is most simply described as a spiritual monument.
A coincidence ...?
Who can tell but once again we'd found a refuge and two hours of enlightened conversation ensued over just one Rodenbach and a Duval.
