I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

You cannot protect yourself from sadness without protecting yourself from happiness. Jonathan Safran Foer, from Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close
Many thanks to the brilliant Sparkletopia, who manages to offer up some delightful gem everyday.
i guess there's time for healing and staying safe, the other stuff waits. don't worry. i moved to istanbul once i worked through the divorce stuff ... not that you will but you know ... things happen after our time of being safe, that's all i'm saying :)

love that, something i struggle with every single damn day. i'm safe and gray and unhappy in my home. no one can hurt me or reach me here.
