I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

A Conchords Interview
The Sunday Star Times over in New Zealand are running an interview with comedy duo Flight of the Conchords who have been spending an extended summer break in New Zealand and enjoying a heroes' welcome home. Tim Hume talks to them.
On New Year's Day I took a 7-hour bus trip from Wellington to New Plymouth and Jemaine Clements, the dark guy of 'Flight of the Conchords', was traveling to Taranaki as well (he's from Stratford). During our lunch break in Palmerston North I finally mustered up the courage to go up to him and say how much I enjoy their work. He looked rather baffled by my comment, so either he was hungover from the previous night or he's not used to 'fans' approaching him. Still glad I did it though!
