I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
This is maybe my favourite photograph from a few hours wandering ...

Oh, that is indeed incredible. I remember trying to write with feathers, it didn't turn out well. Apparently, you can't like wave the things around and stuff in one big dramatic writing act. It splashes. Okay, the last part is made up, but it's hard though, writing with feathers.
Next time I must check where you found this little masterpiece, but then again, it's the shot, not the object that makes this picture quite impressive.
Lovely feather it is, isn't it. I was passing by there again tonight - on an urgent 'ohmygod, can you help me with my homework Gert?' mission but didn't have the camera to try some different stuff.
Today's been all about running all over the city, social orientation for 3 hours tonight ... urgh, just urgh, she writes, cooking something resembling dinner at 5.24pm

Stunning shot.
I passed Melkmarkt one hour ago, around 5pm.

Peter, it was in the window of the bookbinder's in Melkmarkt (or Lange Koepoort Straat)...
I want to visit that shop when it's open. I need a good journal and their products looked promising.
Is dat zo, Manic?
I just never know what I might find from you here :)
As always - great to catch up again on what's happening in your world.
I was just telling my sister about you chiefbiscuit. As always, it makes me smile to find your comment here.
Inspired by a Counting Crows song, I was sketching feathers this morning...
I'm not much good at drawing but won't get better unless I try. You'll see when I post tomorrow.
This feather though, ah, lovely.
