Note to self ...

You know, sometimes I put so much energy into fearing the unknown and in reality, my imagination is worse than the reality.

I have to go to the dentist but more importantly, I can go to the dentist ... I have that choice. I even have the antibiotic cover ... luxury really.

It's all about how we look at things, isn't it.

FYI, Di, you're not alone in your dental angst. I FREAKED out when I had to go to the dentist in Austria. It turned out fine, the dentist was a Very Nice Man and was very indulgent when I said this: You know, I have INCREDIBLE angst about going to the dentist.

Breathe. Tell the dentist you're FLIPPING OUT. They might just give you a little, you know, chemical assistance.

Good luck.

Nice reminder to gravitate toward gratitude, even in fearful circumstances.

Absolutely! But I hate dental visits too - even lost a filling in Sevilla and have yet to get it replaced. Sigh.

Lady Di:

Dentistry has made great advances since the days of Caravaggio. Honestly...I don't recall having any dental work done in the past fifteen years during which I've felt the slightest twinge of pain. And that includes dental work done here in Spain.

I've never had a root canal, but others report that the procedure is absolutely painless in this day and age.

In short, you have nothing to fear but the French Onion Soup that your dentist had for lunch.

Okay ... dank u wel, Sal.

I laughed over the onion soup comment, then coughed ... pitiful whimper - did I mention my cold?
