Wild flowers, Belgie

Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet
confinement of your aloneness
to learn
anything or anyone
that does not bring you alive
is too small for you.

The poppy pics are beautiful. I love your banner too - every time I visit there is a new one1 All lovely. But this poppy one is especially lovely ... so summery for a wintry day!

Oh chiefbiscuit, I read your comment just as little Miss Two was sitting at the table eating strawberries bought at the Market this morning and I thought 'Winter, of course'.

It's so confusing over here as we head into summer in the months that were always my NZ winter.

A little later and I have a small pot of rhubarb simmering for breakfast tomorrow - we found some British weetbix recently and then there's a small pot of peaches stewing to eat with an ice cream dessert tonight.

Stay warm over there, and I'm glad you like the poppy banner. It's my daughter, she just whips them up from her mind and voila, my blog is changed yet again.
