I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
I valued my camera too much to get this close but appreciated this guy and his red jacket standing so close to the wild sea ...

A great storm shot Di - it's been kind of autumn like all over Europe, with early snow in England.
But no matter the weather, you're still in a great place with so much to discover and enjoy.
I saw my father today who confirmed I actually passed through Genova as a child. Most of the vacation shots I managed to get hold of show Southern Italy, but yes, it's a pleasure getting those fun flash-back images I cannot locate.
Thanks Peter, and then yesterday's storm was even more stunning. I'm so excited and it's one reason return and see Grobert's about some enlargement. The sea was stunning 1 or 2 days after this one was taken.
I'm glad you're enjoying placing the childhood memories. xo
