ah, you lucky duck, Paris is Paris is Paris... is a wonder of the world ;-)

haven't been there for years but remember the great bookshop, am very curious about the Institute Arabe du monde and would walk those pretty streets in the rain too. i don't know whether i should thank you for putting this Paris-ache in me?

absolutely adore this shot. they look so calm - the whole scene does - and still, the city is so alive in the wet asphalt, the scaffolding and in the way they are dressed.

I'm sorry about your Paris-ache, KompoStella. People do that to me with New Zealand and Italy :)

The bookshop ... what a treasure house! And yes, I think I couldn't resist lifting my camera to capture these two wandering in a back street in Paris.

Thank you, Van. It was a lovely long cold day and I posted some photographs from my tiredness, just to share. I'm glad that you liked this one.

Dear Special Guest,

What fun it has been having you here in Paris! We won't mention the "food as alien life form" comment. :)

Please come again soon.

Love,

Your humble hostess

This is just so lovely--makes one wonder if they are lifelong friends or recent acquaintances, but the sense of intimacy is there. I think the wet ground contributes to the feeling of coziness. Very nice!

Hey Hapi, lovely to find your greeting here.

And now you mentioned the 'food as alien life form' story already now ... Tara. And you know I'll be back soon, with that man of mine and maybe a couple of dress-making creatures too. xo

Thank you, Ms Antiques Diva. I'm glad you liked it.

It's been a pleasure, Stephanie.

I wondered too, RD, and thank you, as always.
