I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
This was the scene, or part of the scene being filmed as Tara and I wandered through Parisian streets somewhere around Notre Dame but in a back street.
OOhhh, a peak into a perfect moment. I've never seen anything like this shot. Your eye is so discerning. Never been there, but this seems to me a remarkable Paris scene.
As I recall, I was in the company of this lovely friend who made it so easy to stop and take photographs. Next time, we'll have to make sure your new baby is packed and ready to work.
I ended up feeling like you might never know what was round the next corner. xo

now that's what i'm talkin' bout...
fancy hats, there's probably some creamy sauces somewhere in the shot too.
You think?
We had just been in looking at books from 1770-something and then this. I do love Paris.

It felt like we turned a corner and there was a glimpse of the past, Lydia.
I just sent a link to this post over to Petrea at Pasadena Daily Photo. She loves Paris and I think will love your work there. :)
Thanks for the link, Lydia. I will check out her blog too :)
Oh, nooooo! Another blog to love!
Petrea, you made me giggle. Welcome! It's so lovely to find you here. I'm going over to check out yours now.
Stunning.
From another Lydia...
Thank you, Lydia.
