You know those days when you pick up the phone and there's a voice that you think you recognise ...

It was v-grrrl, sounding all familiar and family-like, to the point where I thought she was a fellow kiwi calling.

We just spent some time talking.

Alles goed.

I'm glad you both got in touch: there's a lot of 'added value' in a voice.

I'm not sure if any of you use skype, allowing that call to last forever.

I can handle most English accents (kiwi is very cute) although on St Patrick's Day I had no idea what the Irish were talking about (but the issue there was all the Guinness, not the Irish accent :-)

I must say, you're very discerning about English accents ;) writes the laughing kiwi.

Imagine an Irish accent speaking fluent Nederlands!? I was so confused but the barmaid at the Peace Village on Flanders Fields is a Irish girl with a Flemish partner. She's superb but confusing because, to me, the transition from Irish English to Flemish Nederlands ...
