Today ...

Talking to friends back in Istanbul, organising a location and sight-seeing for the 5 day training event, so delighted to be planning things with Istanbul friends.

Searching for accommodation in Roma, may have found something perfect, just need an okay from my traveling companion/cousin in Qatar.

Realising that it's probably all going to happen now and while I'm doing it all quite inexpensively, I now need to sit down and find some markets for stories with photographs from Roma and Istanbul.

3 days in Berlin, 8 days in Rome, 2 weeks in Istanbul ... the woman is finally wandering again!

Oh, I smiled where ever I went today, Van. Still smiling I am.

Carolien, I'll copy and paste a small piece about the adult educator training here. One day we should exchange emails :)

'Issues related to religious diversity are becoming increasingly important in European societies. Not only has Europe become more religiously diverse, providing a rich opportunity for intercultural understanding, but it is also an undeniable aspect in many modern-day conflicts in intercultural relations. It is important to respect the development of individual religious identities and at the same time to confront prejudice and discrimination.

This training programme aims to address diversity and discrimination issues related to religion that can contribute to an improvement in the delivery of adult education where religious diversity and discrimination is a concern.

Yes, they should, Manic because I'll be the smiling talkative creature. If they pay me too much attention and they will either be photographed or interviewed ;)

You did it Di: the perfect trip!

I'm really glad it all came together: 3 days in Berlin, 8 days in Rome, 2 weeks in Istanbul:
I'm already curious about your upcoming blogposts and pictures!

(Hans just said: "3 countries? she really is amazing" ;-)

Hans comment did make me smile.

So I've been researching stories like a mad thing and need to find some possible markets now. I would very much like to recover as many of my travel costs as possible.

Let's see how it goes. You'll have to give me your postal address before I go (if you like postcards) and I'll see if I can organise some smiles from other places.
