I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

How well do you know the EU?
I am choosing not to publish my results but you might enjoy testing your knowledge on this test in the Guardian Unlimited.
Apparently I don't know the EU as well as I thought I did... and I'm in it! I hate getting news like that, now I have to chain myself to the newspapers for the next few months to make up for it!

9 out of 12! I'm very proud, especially for a non-European. But I cheated: I was President of the European Commission in another life...
