I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

A Little News
I hold Mark and Erkan entirely responsible for any journeys I make into the land of 'Blogthings'.
The name it gave me was "The Amish Monks." Strange thing is...it didn't ask me any questions, other than my name. Perhaps the website should *its* name from "Band Name Generator" to "Entirely Random Band Name Generator."
It's all irrelvant, however, because I've had the perfect band name in mind for years. It is for a 60's psychedelic rock band, and the name is...
"THE ELECTRIC RIGATONI"
I've seriously contemplated learning to play guitar so that I could form a band with this name. Only two problems stand in my way: (a) I have "ears of stone," and (b) I am a hopeless introvert and would surely melt into a puddle the moment I step onto stage.
But still...I think it's a great name for a band.
Sal (Once again proving that my comments fall short of your blog's typically intellectual content)

I giggled all the way through your comment ... The Electric Rigation??? I can't even type that without laughing.
WHY????
The dictionary didn't help.
My blog ain't intellectual, it's a curiousity thing ... endless curiousity. :) I'm the adult who still asks 'but why?'
The Amish Monks suits you ... you'd look good in a robe.
And random name generator or not, I think my band name, The Virgin Elves, was a clear identification of my pure New Zealand sensibilities.
