Desks

I've been working at my desk for days and not really taking the time to tidy up afterwards.

The solution ... well I moved over to Gert's desk and took over, again.

Shamed after viewing this photo which confirmed all I suspected ... So Many wrongs committed while colonising his space, I'm writing this from a pristine work space ...

All paper is gone, the surface is polished, there's now room to move and I'm resting mid-way through a similar treatment on my desk. Photographs won't be forthcoming because pre-cleaning my desk was too shameful. Who knew I'd collected that much paper and so much important-I-must-keep-that-in-view stuff.

Tot ziens until later.

Hehe, that's how my desk looks all the time. You keep telling yourself it's easier to work this way, but it's not and you know it.

Good for you for tackling such a big task! You must feel a big sense of accomplishment - and relief to know you can find what you're looking for. I must follow suit. Sigh.

Hey manic, my desk is now almost stunning. I have the in/out trays organised and there are piles of books, workbooks and papers but they're kind of manageble for now. There's a wooden box full of photos on the floor next to my desk, and a box full of memory-type stuff and a box with all the unused postcards and greeting cards ... I'm feeling happy.

It is lovely paris parfait ... I like it tidy but I get lost in projects and then, of course, projects get lost. Lol, good luck with yours.

You should get a cat. If I leave any paper out on my desk (which is in my bedroom), she bats it off and/or shreds it while I'm a) trying to sleep, or b) trying to work. If I'm not in the room, she leaves it alone. She's quite an attention whore, really.

Anyway... maybe you should just take MY cat... :)

Although the downside to this organizational method is that I usually just sweep everything into the desk drawers to keep it out of the reach of her grubby paws, so my desk drawers look like the top of your desk, pre-clean sweep.

Hi Angie, I read your comment before breakfast then mentioned to Gert that we COULD have a cat ... filling him in on your cat's abilities was a mistake though. He couldn't cope with the cat and me :) and we don't have drawers ... the floor would look plain nasty.

Enjoyed your site, and reading about your Fiancee made me smile. Congratulations.

Lol sure Alison ... I'd do it if I thought you could stand anyone else going through your desk stuff ... the wine sounds like a plan though.
