I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

The Piano, a movie
I was looking for something else and found this and noted it here for me ...
It's a beautiful film. I never wanted to watch it again because it seems such a dark, cruel film as well. I'm a bit of a wimp as far as that goes. I feel the same about Once Were Warriors. However, I found this synopsis very moving. Campion is one of the best, for sure.
A pleasure, Mark. And Kay, I liked this particular piece of music ... it haunted me for a long time after the movie was over. I'm glad you enjoyed this selection of what was a powerful and disturbing movie.

Powerful, just as I remembered it to be. Thanks Di.

This was a haunting movie, but I loved the music. It's hard for me to watch films like this because they stay with me much too long.
