Gert snuck up on me while we were out on Flanders Fields last month, Gary ... writes this laughing woman.
I'm comfortable with this kind of portrait - the 'caught unawares' style.
I know how to make everyone else relax in front of the lens, just not myself.
I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

Nice to "see" you, Di. You have such beautiful highlights in your hair!
;)
Thank you, Lydia. I was quite surprised about the view actually - it's not one I see. Gary's comment made me go looking for photographs of me and I didn't know Gert had this one until I asked if he had any.
I could've sworn it was Sandra Bullock :d
It's a great photo - but I don't know why you don't like shots of your beautiful face! xoxox
Red in the hair, warm in the heart?
I agree - you have beautiful colour in hair, very rich. Its funny to see ourselves from the back huh? I always find it funny to see photos from different angles of myself since we always just see ourselves from the front!
Manic, this is why you remain a favourite ;)
Oh Tara, thank you for your kind kind words, Shashikiran and Ms Parlez Vous too.
