Wild crazy days of photographing railway employees, artists, and archers ... then today, a spot of calm as I entered the alleyway of the artists here in Antwerpen.
I want to be worthy of a studio space there one day.
It's heaven, truly really.
I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

Ah purple carpet. : )
how come even the mundane spaces in Europe look cool?
Indeed, Ms V.
You might have laughed, Van. The artist came out and I was all but dancing in the hall, claiming that 'even the light in hall was stunning!'
You are already worthy of a space there.
V-Grrrl, just this morning I saw a bumper sticker that read: Anything that's purple is mine. Anything that isn't can be painted. Thought of you!
You'll make it!
I second that, Kay!
xx
Thanks RD, I'm surely not feeling so at the moment and ... v-grrrl laughed with delight when I read out your comment.
Thanks Kay and Carolien, let's see it.
RD--I need that bumpersticker. Still fondly remember a woman in my conservative Southern neighborhood who painted her garage doors a deep eggplant that glowed purple when the sun hit them. So cool. So unexpected.
