Winter fevers ...

There's flu here in Belgium, and talking with Lisen earlier, I hear it's over in Istanbul too.

Our apartment is full of people, mostly sick people.
Gert slept 17 hours from lunchtime yesterday. Jessie fought a fever over the same time-frame and now has a headache and nausea thing happening. I'm just back from a night search for the right kind of juice-only iceblock in minus 2 celsius degree weather. Our local night shop was closed though ...

And little Miss Four is taking an antibiotic for bronchitis, a powerful antibiotic that makes her feel terrible which results in 'interesting' behaviour. The upside being, I've been telling myself, is that she's on the mend.

I've been working on photographs all day but I've only managed to check through 70, in-between everything else. The apartment is clean, almost everyone is in bed, including Gert's two children, the washing is almost up-to-date and here I am, at my mess of a desk, wondering how tomorrow will be.

I hope things are good in your world.

Stupid flu:( I'm sending hugs your way, topped by the huge smile your flamingo inspires:) Rest, take care of yourself ... you need to do that, too, you know;)

Thanks Barbara, much appreciated but I should confess, I was off gallivanting in Brussels Monday and Tuesday. Gert has his last two 2008 vacation tomorrow and Friday. I'm looking forward to that :)

Oh dear - really hope everyone gets better soon! And take care of YOU, so you don't get sick. Lots of juice and vitamins!

The woman is the last to fall ;-). Sounds challenging there today. Hope everyone recovers soon and you don't suffer from their generosity. My world today is a little less ill--thank goodness--but February is our traditional month for colds and fevers, so I'm gearing up.

Well Tara, I've decided to take the red wine cure ... it's a little medicinal thing :) But thank you.

Oh, do follow Tara's advice RD. I'm hoping I've missed it or the way I felt last week was 'it'. Gert seems a little better today, after his afternoon nap. Jessie is up but still miserable and the antibiotics are kicking in with little Miss 4.
Yay!
