I have loaded Cairo onto my new website, the blog posts, a photo gallery and am just waiting for the last of the work to be completed on it.
Tara was curious about my Cairo photography ... here is one taken from the balcony of the most remarkable art gallery.
I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

wow i really like this one. there are so many beautiful things in the ordinary
And sometimes the ordinary seems extraordinary when you're some place else.
Love that photo! It is so typical of Cairo.
I loved Cairo but need to see it again through 'second-time eyes'. The first time is mostly about big eyes ... surprised by everything new :)
That is a lovely photo. I'm off to check your website.
Hi Maryanne, the new website hasn't launched yet ... it is still to be completed by my web designer but I had wanted to launch it with my Cairo trip.
Your blog! I love it, have marked it, will go back for more. Lovely to find you here.
