I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

Don't Dream It's Over, Crowded House
A little musical interlude so that I can immerse myself in some homesickness ...
I love this Crowded House song even more! When I heard them perform it in concert, I actually felt chills going up and down my spine! I would have chosen it for that post, but given that I was dedicating it to a wedding party, I didn't think the theme would be appropriate. ;-)
I did smile when I realised it was a wedding party song but you woke up all kinds of homesick memories with that song ... I had to post it and listen to it, and listen to it again, and again ...
I received the following link this morning from one of the members of the wedding party in NZ (the groom, actually). Thought you might find it interesting! http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/1501119/story.cfm?c_id=1501119&objectid=10420840

I think Neil Finn is based in the UK now. Tim is still in NZ - he's performing at the Auckland Zoo musical concerts this month.
Lucky old you ... I love their sound, somehow it speaks to me of days spent at the beach and that delicious 'after beach' tiredness.
Long lazy New Zealand days of summer.
