This was where I spent last week while taking photographs of St Chilton's Seraphim Choir. If you're ever thinking of visiting Flanders Fields then I highly recommend the Peace Village in Mesen as a place to stay.Using information from the Flanders 1917 website again ... The tower formed part of a concept by "A Journey for Reconciliation Trust" established by two Irishmen, and since then an International School for Peace Studies, which provides courses for young people from both Irish communities, has been operating in part of the town's community hall.
In 2005, the Trust opened a "Peace Village" - a hostel with 128 beds and a range of facilities. The hostel is close to the Messines Ridge Cemetery and open to all nationalities.

Hey Louise, how excellent to find your note here. I'm good, and I was asking about you last week. You'll be seeing more of me, a friend and I have an exhibition in the peace village in February :) It will be good to catch up and would love to hear how motherhood is.
