A 12 hour today ...

Remarkable, originally uploaded by - di.

Today I met and photographed the most remarkable people.

A 2 hour train trip, a little bit of lost, a whole lot of fun and conversations about truly incredible things.

It ended down on a freezing cold beach with stunning last light.

It was a good day.

Interviews to follow on the new website in the months ahead ...

Thanks Carolien. I just needed to be quiet for a while as I was a little bit sad for a few days there.

He is a remarkable person and there were so many more remarkable people involved in today.

Spectacular! His face and smile. His colorful hat with ties. His United Nations sweater.
I think you have a special partnership with God, who initially supplies the subjects and natural light, and then rejoices in the crystal moments you capture of the two together. Your work is God's gallery!

Dear Lydia, I was sitting here on my bed, wrapped in a duvet, Gert's socks on my feet, sliding door open to the close to let the freezing cold sunshine in and I read your comment and smiled hugely, saying 'Oh Lydia!'

Thank you, that was incredibly kind of you. I feel really lucky and often say a small thank you when everything comes together.

Yesterday I met so many interesting people and made plans to interview two of them, there this guy who is fascinating, and there's this gentle giant from Ireland who works with the travellers, the Irish name for the gypsies. I'm trying to work out how to travel everywhere I need to be.

Anyway, your words were so kind, thank you. xo

Tara, I missed your comment some how ... tiredness this morning I think and I'm using that tiny laptop we both have. Gert's doing urgent work on my 2 external harddrives.

He was just one of those special people, it's there in his face, isn't it :)
