This is probably where I went too far and photographed the setting sun through the bamboo fence.
One can never be sure when one's parents were actually telling the truth. Should we or should we not look into the sun.
I've put the camera away and will now return to my life as house vrouw and well-behaved woman.
Tot ziens.
I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

oh my gosh Di... can i add this one to my growing Di Mackey gallery in my home?
naw, why be well-behaved?
Only those willing to take a risk will achieve greatness! Don't put your camera away--we need a little misbehaving.
My favorite quote: Well behaved women rarely make history. You rock:)
The Di Mackey Gallery, New Jersey. Hmmm, we could have an exhibition there some day :)
Well Gary, the apartment would be cleaner.
Okay RD, your names are all coming up when my housekeeping is called into questions.
Barbara, I'll try this one next time I'm in a corner for being 'interesting' ... thank you.
Hi Di - Thanks for popping by my blog and how exciting to hear that you'll be in Berlin this fall! As for me, I'm now officially in my new apartment - however I'm still missing cupboards, lights and wardrobe units! Oh the joys of moving... will be posting soon on what it's like to be this Desperate Housewife!
Best,
Toma, aka The Antiques Diva
I'm sure that Desperate Housewife in Berlin has so much more potential to be extraordinarily interesting, Toma.
I'm going to be a Very Bad Grrrl and write this: Fuck Housekeeping.
There now, I feel better. ; )
Oh, the whole household fell about laughing because you and I are surely soul sisters. I actually had lots of work today so it was either they do the dishes or use paper plates ... they used paper plates.
Yay me.
I shouldn't couldn't confess this, should I but I have tooooooooooo much to do here.
