Out on the balcony and perhaps overcome by window cleaning fumes, I noticed the way the sun was lighting up the chimney things on the roof and was immediately reminded of the towers of Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.
It was the fumes ... wasn't it.
I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

Probably the fumes, Di - that bears no resemblance whatsoever to the Sagrada de Familia, as you well know. But it does have a certain charm, particularly the way you've photographed it! :)
Okay ...
Gert exploded with laughter when he saw it :)
More like the chimney dance scene in Mary Poppins, but I do see how it could recall la Sagrada Familia.
I guess I should have titled it, 'Desperately imagining Barcelona'.
LOL!
Each time I read your LOL, kompo Stella, it made me smile :)
