France has been good to me ...

My first meal in France was a plat du jour (or plate of the day) ... stuffed leg of duck (stuffed, in a good way) in a pepper cream sauce, with fries and all kinds of salady yummy things and red wine that was cheaper and so much nicer than coca cola.

Tonight ... oh tonight, that was this incredible delicate salmon with some kind of light potato mash in a red wine sauce with a waiter-selected Haut Medoc red for drinking.

A talented live jazz band in a beautifully picturesque French village.

Tomorrow the market, armed with the camera where it is possible that good cheese may be bought and many photographs will be taken.

Au revoir!

I had left over Mexican food for lunch and the tortillas were a little bit rubbery in the reheating and maybe the rice and beans had dried out just a bit BUT no, I'm not jealous of you at all. I'm just making that VERY CLEAR. Not jealous. :P

Sounds good to me! Enjoy! (You'll be heading out about now, I guess as early evening falls on a very rainy Dunedin.)

Oh, don't be jealous. I was awake at 4am with my back on this very hard bed and now here I am again, 7am and so very awake and so very broken, Ms V.

Obviously there was a pea somewhere under the 18 mattresses and my princess tendencies found it crippling.

A rainy Dunedin ... hmmm, you know that I struggle not to smile when I think you might be turning towards autumn, Kay ... because it means we're turning towards spring and this winter has seemed long. Fog and a balmy 7 celsius yesterday seemed quite magnificent.

You are very good to report in, considering you're off having fun! :) P.S. Have been playing with the new camera and the quality and clarity of the images is amazing. I can hardly believe my eyes! What's also amazing is how much space the images take up on the computer!

How did you end up in France all of a sudden? Damn, are you actually ever in Belgium :d

Hi Tara, I was off taking a break from everything, so reporting it was easy.

I'm looking forward to catching up with you and your new camera next week! :) I can show you how I solve large photo file storage issues when I'm there, unless they're solved before I arrive x0

Gert drove me, Manic. He took me away to relax, relax and relax some more :)

:) I'm sorry Janet but today was a bit of a comedown ... working all day at the computer, cleaning the apartment in-between times. I needed the memories of France to keep me smiling.
