I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

Andrea over at Superhero writes of the Great Media Cleansing
Julia Cameron has you take a no media week (no tv, no newpapers, no email, no movies, NO BOOKS!, no reading at all) in The Artist's Way. It's not easy, since she allows you nothing, but it's powerful space you make. I wrote, I walked, I played the piano more. I never have gone back to TV.
Right now I have developed a US elections NYT addiction Andrea's been a good inspiration to quit... Don't suppose my being informed to the minute is having any impact on the outcome...
