Homesickness ...

You know when you're travelling on a flat road somewhere in the Netherlands and you look out across farmland and see a cloudbank where the Southern Alps would be if you were driving the Canterbury Plains back home in New Zealand ... and your heart misses a beat?

Hi Samir, so nice to find your comment here.

I do believe we could compare 'homesick moments' for quite sometime :)

Di--love your recent posts about your European trip. Also loved the picture of the guy with his arms spread...

Lol, beste manic ... well it's not that I don't like living in Belgie (let's not talk of the winter months) but anyway, I was in the Netherlands when I got homesick ... I'm sure you understand that! :)

Who doesn't get homesick in the Netherlands? Even the Dutch come over to Belgium from time to time coz they can't stand their own country. :P

Don't worry, one day you'll be able to go to New Zealand again.

Exactly my point manic ... ;)

Fingers crossed for luck, I'm going to try and work enough to fly home at Christmas. I'm sure I'll write about the trials and tribulations lol.

Meanwhile, it's just another beautiful day here is Belgie.

Hmmm Memories of the Canterbury plains. Stealing home late late one night after an NPC final at Jade Stadium - when Otago got slaughtered once again. Hiding from maurading Cantabs jeering at us for wearing blue and gold - the nightmare that never ends.... Nuke them say I :) Damn Cantabs!!!

How I giggled over that image of you sneaking about, hiding from the 'maurading Cantabs' jeering at you for wearing blue and gold ...
