A slow day today

I really hate the fact that being sorry for drinking a little too much doesn't fix anything ... one still has to suffer the consequences.

I'm suffering today too Di - was trolley'd last night. Must admit blogging whilst drunk is a sobering thought the next day...

I crashed into my Christmas tree this weekend....

Trolley'd were you, Mark. The worst thing about my effort was that I didn't really realise till today ... sigh. 6pm, still not doing well.

Oh Peter ... I did giggle a little when I read this. No one was harmed I hope ... neither tree nor man?

Wish you could have seen it Di, it was a pure "La cage aux folles" scene :-) But I didn't write the script...

Some people are not compatible and should never be invited into the same room, not even during the "holiday season".

When I try to separate the fighting duo, I tripped over a wire, crashing my Christmas tree. It survived.

Oh well, two names have left my guest-list :-))

Di, I just wanted to say thanks, and to note that you don't always see all the consequences of a night like last night...the good ones are sometimes hidden under the hangover...

Peter, I had been imagining you walking into the tree after drinking a little too much when I giggled ... sorry to read that people couldn't put aside differences as guests in your home.

I guess you got to smile over the "La cage aux folles" memory ... maybe.

Hi Gabriel and I agree ... I wanted to blog about the party but I've been waiting until I could write as it was and not with how I felt all day.

May tomorrow be a better day for everyone and I want to photograph your beautiful tulips in natural light in the morning.

Many plans and no strength today.

Di, I'm beginning to fear you have an alcohol addiction. All I hear is you drinking wine, you having hang-overs, that's all I hear. Now, as the wise old thing I am, I want to warn you on your young age that you can fight this, you can fight this if you want. I'll support you and maybe some other readers will too, or maybe they won't coz they love to read that stuff. Ahh heck, I'm butting in, ain't I?

Dear manic, otherwise known as my wise old blogging buddy, I almost fell off my chair laughing when I read your words ... 'I want to warn you on your young age that you can fight this, you can fight this if you want.'

I particularly liked the 'young age' ... Heel hartelijk bedankt!!!

I do believe I'm cured anyway (whisper: this is only the second or third time of written of a drinking accident here, isn't it?) I don't think I want to drink anything resembling alcohol for redelijk lang.

Peter - was disappointed to see that the crash into your christmas tree was not caused by alcohol. How are we to better control our less than sober bodies if we dont practice? :-)
I fully intend to be "up to speed" on drunken manuevering - no matter how many wines I have to drink to ensure I get there. I dont profess to being as "able" as Di - but she has had too big a head start on us all.

Dear Mark, your praise left me almost speechless ... granting me skills and a timeline that is a load of piffle.

Your inability to maneuver while drunk is less to do with any lack of practice and more to do with the fact that men age more rapidly than women ... and may I mention that you've been practicing for years while I didn't begin my relationship with alcohol until my mid-30s.

Saturday night was merely a beginners mistake, you perfidious man you! ;)

However swoopingly interesting this post is, I do think it's around that time that you, let's see how do I say this in the right way, hmm, update this blog :D.

PS: Denying that you have a problem and attacking poor innocent Mark is not the way to handlle your problem. Mark can't help it that you're a drunk. He's just trying to show you he's even worse than you are.

PS 2: How is the business coming along, you still haven't fired that drunk?

PS 3: Am I beginning to nag with that drunk thing? I am, ain't I?

Arrrrrghhhh manic! I published your comment, I think that shows just how fair I am.

I did laugh when I read your comment though ... I had to publish, I'm sure Mark will love it.

I think you both could have shown more concern about how ill I was ... hmmm, then again, I was probably concerned enough for 6 people :)

There ... I blogged something new for you too.

For once I can say that Manic and I are in complete agreement.
The resulting rift in the fabric of space-time will of course kill us all. You however, will probably be pissed ,and not notice a thing :)
On a brighter note - Your boozey blog interlude made a interesting - albeit brief - diversion to an otherwise lack luster day. So thanks for that, you drunken star :)

Firstly, I would like to state that next time I over-indulge, I will not blog about it ... I expected sympathy, flowers even but no ...

Secondly, it is truly terrifying to find the Belgian and Kiwi blokes in agreement. I may have to drink to recover ... On second thought, No.

Me ... a drunken star 'But MARK', writes she in outraged tones ... 'YOU WERE TROLLEYED!'

I wasn't even close to trolleyed ... ya know, maybe it was a little food poisoning too or something. I've had a cold for a couple of weeks ... (insert pause for sympathy here) it may have weakened me. I didn't have a headache really, it was just this terrible nausea that wouldn't go away ... sigh, I feel so misjudged.
