Salamanca ...

is stunning ...!

We´ve been here 24 hours and already there are 400 photographs needing checked.

Erin has given us an evening in tapas bars ... red wine and food to quietly die for ... walked us through the old city, golden sandstone that turns pink as the light changes, deep blue sky that almost makes you forget the occasionally cutting wind.

We´ve heard legends, explored ancient buildings and met some very nice people.

This is only a quick report on my way to other work here at the computer but just so you know, alles goed here in Spain.

Tot ziens.

Sounds better than wonderful.

Remember my fears that my Rome film might have been damaged by airport x-rays? I picked up my photos and they're just fine, many of them quite stunning. The light was perfect.

Can't wait to see your pics.

Blessings....

Damn it, I'm stuck in cold and grey Belgium :(. Have fun and be careful with those wines, you know what happened last time :P.

Ooh, excellent! :)

I was only in Madrid the other day but it was freezing bloody cold and I was limited to a stroll around the hotel and the shuttle between there and the airport.

Looking forward to seeing your Salamanca photos :) I've also been advised that Sevilla is worth a look - lots of Moorish architecture apparently.

Happy Xmas :D

Great to read that your photos of Roma are safe ... all the best for the Christmas period v-grrrl!!

Dear Meneer Manic, I´ve been very careful with the wine AND last time I had a horrible flu ... monster.

Hey Cristina ... we´re wandering all over your stunning country and adoring it :) Enjoy your Christmas too.

Oh Christina, we are, thank you!! You have a lovely Christmas too.

And you too Lever, Spain ... ahhh if the photographs capture anything of how this place makes me feel then they should be good ... but let´s see it.

Thanks twitches ... happy Christmas to you!

Wishing you all the best in the holiday season, Ascender, and it´s been the same for me ... it´s been lovely getting to know you via your blog and following your art work.
