The good news is that the sun is out in Belgium ... the less good news is that I'm feeling terrible.

I have a cold - with throat, head and body aches, accompanied by an unattractive cough. My bed is my constant companion ...

Last time I was this sick I was teaching in Istanbul. I'm not happy to find my old foe has followed me here.

Will get back to you when feeling better.

Tot ziens.

I hope you will be feeling better asap Di - it's almost Dec 31, it would be a shame having to start 2007 with a bad cold. Take good care of yourself!

Lol, thanks manic ... it's horrible here, just sleeping and coughing - no reading, no blogging.

I hope to Mathieu, thank you.

Dank u wel Peter. I'm meant to be out taking photographs in the city tomorrow, I can't imagine getting there tonight ... here's to the miracles of modern medicine.

Oh you poor dear! We have some friends visiting from Spain and two out of four are down with the flu. Not staying with us, luckily. Must be the climate change or something.

Feel better soon!!

Me too - woke up with it on Christmas Day, hot on the heels of food poisoning. I've left the house only once in five days - to take my daughter to the doctor. Hope you're much better soon - in time to have a lovely new year's celebration. Looking forward to seeing you in January! xo

Oh chiefbiscuit ... Salamanca is absolutely lovely, really! A beautiful, intelligent city.

Sorry to hear about your sick guests Christina, I hope there's is milder than mine, at least I'm at home ... it would be a nightmare to be feeling like this on holiday. I hope they're better by now.

Oh Tara, I'm so sorry ... food poisoning too! Get well soon and perhaps we'll all be better in time to celebrate the new year.

Thank you Shashikiran ... it felt like it had a little to do with leaving the stunning blue skies of Spain and returning to cloud-covered Belgium but that just might be my glum mood writing.

Thanks ml, I will :) See you on skype as soon as I can talk again.
