Stealing a day ...

the owl, originally uploaded by - di.

It's been good to just drop out of the world today ...

I have 2 cds of photographs burned and ready to deliver, 3 almost ready to burn and post.

Now I just have to come up with a name for an August exhibition, find the 'for sale' art shots for it too, keep collecting the documentary shots, write up the Genova interviews before heading back in July, process 3 more exhibition prints ready to frame for the evolving exhibition while continuing to take more cliental shots for it, process the artist's exhibition shots from the Zonnebeke exhibition and Istanbul ...

And I've done 3 loads of washing, gifting them to the rain that's just begun falling, vacuumed and cooked and cleared breakfast.

I am feeling torn between 'achievement' and 'how-did-life-get-this-insane?!

Photographing New Zealand's Minister of Labour and for Food Safety on Wednesday ... really. Meeting in Brussels on Tuesday, back at the exhibition on Thursday and Friday.

How about you?

I'd go for "achievement", Di. Definitely achievement!

Thanks Carolien :) although I suspect it's simply a case of 'welcome to the real world, Di'.

Face it - any less busy and you'd be bored.

I threw my head back and roared with laughter. I could hear you saying it but you didn't see me taking half an aspirin this morning. I gave myself a wee fright (again) with the stress level achieved.

Something between horrendous backlog of processing and many adventures would be grand however I have 3 cds burned and on the table as I write this and I'm just diving into the next. By midnight, I expect life to be more in control and I'm going to try hard not to offer free stuff to beautiful and kind strangers and I'm going to try to stay focused when that camera of mine is on ...

How much do you want to bet that I fail ;)

Mel (granola girl) and I were just talking about this set of shots last night over IM, this owl is so beautiful

Thanks sweetpea. Beautiful it might be but they won't make me a cent ;)

Having one of those 'what on earth am I doing' days.

That is a magnificent photo, Di! As for the self-imposed chaos, stop giving your work away! It is valuable and worth plenty of euros. Other people don't give you their work for free; stop being so nice! :) xoxox

Thanks Tara. I think that was the long dark day of the soul yesterday, I seem to be back with a new idea of how to go forward.
