Sometimes ...

Sometimes I wonder what I'm doing, attempting to make a career out of photography ... it doesn't pay well, the hours are long and actual paid work is irregular with people preferring the free stuff.

Sometimes I think about getting a haircut and a real job, and then something nice happens.

Jessie just told me that another of my photographs was featured on Etsy.

We've decided to put the owls up tomorrow with some other new/old photographs, and the ngo has all but paid me for last month. Cash in account and I will print everything for everyone tomorrow ... sorry for the delay.

Hang in there, you know you wouldn't really want a job without creative licence ;)

Sometimes.............
And then I remember how much I enjoy what I'm doing.
Stick with what you know you love, you know you're good at it! Money? Who needs it!

When I grow up, I'll be the 'Gary' of the photography world, creating beautiful photographs the way you make your beautiful pottery and ship it out all over the place.

Looking forward to hearing from you, Tara. The news sounds exciting xo

Lol no, you're both right, Kay and Friko but somedays I just kind of crash ...

I'm back again this morning and thank you.

Indeed Di, making a career out of photography is complex these days.

But if you look back at all the fascinating people you met, the places you visited and the fun you already had,
I'm convinced you have no regrets ;-)

Indeed Peter, I'm getting there. It's been a hell of a week though.
