I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
I was standing under the triumphal arch in Cinquantenaire Park and could have stayed there watching the way the wind shaped and reshaped the massive flag that hangs down from the centre of the central arch.

Much like the scene in American beauty when one of the characters videos a plastic bag "dance" in the wind. Thanks :)
A pleasure anonymous, I loved the textures and colours ... it's a revisit with more time alone, so I don't have to explain time taken photographing the flag.
Hmmm ... Anon was me.... not sure how that happened.
I took a similar photo of the US flag against a blue sky at the Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbour. There's something hypnotic about a flag in a good breeze.
