And these sayings in Antwerp dialect mean ...?

Stekt dieje zen verstaand inne vogeltje ent vliegt achteroat.

Disbelieving laughter followed each of these Antwerpen gems ... the meaning as opposed the sound of them just takes some getting used to if you're a kiwi.

Kzal men zakke mor al toenaje zeker.

The grand finale has to be ... 't schoenste on iel Brussel? Den iersten traain nor Antwaarrepe.

translates as: If you'll put his brains inside the head of a bird, it'll fly backwards.

"Kzal men zakke mor al toenaje zeker." translates as: I should sew close my pockets. (means, take care not to spend money).

"'t schoenste on iel Brussel? Den iersten traain nor Antwaarrepe" translates: The beautifull part of brussels is the first train to Antwerp. (probably Antwerp guy missing he's home-town).

I just wish I could say them as easily as I write them.
