I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
Did you know, cats own the streets of Istanbul. I love it of course, and this one was particularly friendly, nudging my wide-angle lens as part of it's 'oh-my-god-you-are-so-yummy-you-must-pat-me-NOW!
After our native cats, here's my warm welcome wishes to you Di:) Hope you enjoy the City this time in Spring, and one thing a must: take photos of lovely Tulips circling all around the City. Aren't they so amazing and gorgeous, tens of millions in every square inches in varied colours.
He was a talker, Van. I love the street life here.
Thank you so much, Nihal. If you have time for coffee, feel free to email me.
I photographed some tulips today, outside the Blue Mosque and Haghia Sophia. They are stunning, and look so much happier here in their country of origin.
Your city is stunning, Nihal! I'm so happy to be back here.
this lil' fella looks like a talker

Yes I can also see that cat is a talker - very like our cat who is also a talker - or perhaps more like a chirruper ...
ReplyDeleteIt is true, the cats are in charge I have a beautiful photo of a litter of kittens blocking a shop door way in the Arasta Bazaar.
ReplyDeleteYou need to take to Istanbul. Adding it to my wish list. XO
ReplyDeleteExactly, Kay :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed a quick look through your blog, Turkey Traveller. Love some of the photographs! Need to sit down with more time to read though :)
Come on over, Ms V, you will love it xx
