I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
It is, isn't it, Tara. We were there for market day and I just wanted to stay and buy good food on Saturdays and immerse myself in what appeared to be a fabulously rich artistic life.
Thanks Gary :) Your pottery continues to become increasingly gorgeous too!
:) Thank you, RD. Gert and I were both stunned about Honfleur was, even in miserable weather. He has some stunning shots I should blog at some point. He's teaching me the finer details of settings for architecture and landscape, so I'll have to pass on your words to him.
I'm sure some fishermen in Honfleur would smile over your comment. It seemed like a town that might harbour a secret pirate or two :) who use their powers only for good.
So lovely, Di! Honfleur is a charming place.

ReplyDeleteEven on a foggy day, there's a brilliance in your pictures. How do you do that? Sounds just wonderful!

Wow, France is so beautiful, your photos amazing. Can't wait to visit again, good that I'm closer now.
ReplyDeleteIt will be good to catch up, Julie :) and France yes, it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love this shot...the reflection looks like a pirate ship :-)
