I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
Lovely to find you here, RD. Your comment did make me smile ... as I ducked away from the dishes and preparing dinner, just to see if anyone had written. Thank you xo
I found this beautiful book today, Tara. I didn't know anything much about Willa Cather before reading the quote in the front of 'The Illustrated Virago Book of Women Travellers'. It's delicious.
Oh, this is just a beautiful picture with a beautiful quote from one of my favorite writers ever! I'm so glad I "stumbled" across this today!

ReplyDeletebeautiful!
ReplyDeleteStunning photo, Di. And Willa Cather again. My great-grandmother, whom I never knew, closely resembled her. Both were strong women.
ReplyDeleteThanks Van. I photoshopped the image some :)
