I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

Flemish look-alike Sagrada Familia towers, Antwerpen
Out on the balcony and perhaps overcome by window cleaning fumes, I noticed the way the sun was lighting up the chimney things on the roof and was immediately reminded of the towers of Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.
Probably the fumes, Di - that bears no resemblance whatsoever to the Sagrada de Familia, as you well know. But it does have a certain charm, particularly the way you've photographed it! :)

ReplyDeleteOkay ...
ReplyDeleteGert exploded with laughter when he saw it :)
More like the chimney dance scene in Mary Poppins, but I do see how it could recall la Sagrada Familia.
ReplyDeleteI guess I should have titled it, 'Desperately imagining Barcelona'.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteEach time I read your LOL, kompo Stella, it made me smile :)
