One's prime is elusive. You little girls, when you grow up, must be on the alert to recognize your prime at whatever time of your life it may occur. You must live it to the full.
Miss Brodie, taken from a scene in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.

  1. Oh, this is so reassuring. Because I truly don't think I've hit my prime yet, and I was wondering if I'd miss it altogether!

  2. I loved the idea of it too but I'm almost sure we have many primes ... they're just different, kind of seasonal :)

  3. There's a quote I so love about a woman's prime from Julia by Lillian Hellman, although I found it most stirring when spoken by Jane Fonda as Vanessa Redgraves walked at Oxford in the movie:
It was in our nineteenth year that she went away to Oxford. The second year she was there I went to visit her. There are women who reach a perfect time of life, when the face will never again be as good, the body never as graceful or as powerful. It had happened that year to Julia.....
