The teensy weensy Samsung NC10 arrived today. It's more gear for the Berlin/Middle East gig and I'm writing this on its almost normal keyboard ... fascinated by the compact yumminess of the small machine with its 10.2inch screen.
As my camera gear becomes heavier and I travel to places where I need both the camera equipment and some kind of laptop, this was the best Gert could find for the money I had available to me ... and we're both liking it.
First night with it tonight, more news to follow after it's been put through its paces.
Great computer and just the perfect size for travel! I got it for a trip to Argentina in December.
ReplyDeleteFirst night with it and I'm delighted, looking forward to travelling with it.
ReplyDeletethat lil' fella is cool!
ReplyDeleteTis eh Van :) If President Obama ever removes the 10 fingerprint rule for all foreigners arriving in the US as tourist, I'll have to bring it when I come over.
ReplyDeleteIt's good it has XP as many new netbooks have Vista, without the power to run it at a reasonable speed. I've been looking at netbooks here and online for the past month. When I get to London, will buy one w/ an English keyboard. Yours looks like a good one!
ReplyDeleteOh, awesome little laptop. I want a smaller laptop too so I can take it to class and not pay attention in it. Hmm, maybe not such a great idea after all. Ah, well, last exam today, somewhere in the afternoon. Have fun in the Middle East and stuff. Bring a bit of sand back home, to fake a bit of desert on your huge terrace :D
ReplyDeleteDid you check Pixmania - my laptop has an English keyboard, Tara. It was delivered for 399euro.
ReplyDeleteMmmm, you wouldn't get away with not paying attention in class in Belgie, would you Manic? It seems much tougher than NZ's approach to class time. Sand for the balcony ... uh huh, all 15 metres of it ;)
