I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. Barack Obama
Quite possibly, he's as happy as this kiwi chick who woke up and felt like the world might have just got a much-needed, much-desire best Christmas present.
THIS is why I voted for the man! I cannot describe how it feels to know we will have a leader with this mindset. A new day is dawning, trite as that sounds.
It feels like that over here too, Barbara. I felt like more Bush, more McCain with his strange little idiot sidekick - Ms Palin, would bring about the end of the world sooner rather than later ...
can't tell you how happy this Jersey dude is today!

echoes of gandhi's "be the change you want to see in the world"
