I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
As I just said and lost.. when you come to visit me in the new US under Pres. Obama, you can see squirrels all over my yard, as well as chipmunks . and a big big lake down the street!! Get over here! Hope you have a great time~ ML
ha ha. There are... hrmm I'd venture to say well over 500 of these guys in my parents neighborhood here in NJ. I'd always thought it was odd when friends came to visit in NYC from Europe, when snapping up a picture of a squirrel was such a novelty.
I guess Australians might say the same about kangaroos...
They're so cute, Van. I would be buying birdseed for them.
Oh lordy, I hope Obama makes president. I've stopped reading the news ... Lol, okay, so I'll pop over. You have chipmunks too? I've never ever seen them.
I guess so, Shanti. NZ only had birds before the European colonisers arrived ... it's all interesting to this kiwi creature.
I'm glad you feel the same, Harvey. I was beginning to feel like the odd one out here :)

One of the fondest memories I have of time in Florida involves sitting back in the late afternoon watching squirrels. Wonderful, playful animals.
