The Magician, The Glider Pilot and the Politician ...

The good things of yesterday began with working with the member of parliament on a photo shoot and ended with red wine and other conversations with a glider pilot, a magician, a caterer and so many interesting Belgians.

I needed that.

And as a result, today has been a day of inspired thinking.

I suspect a person has to become incredibly uncomfortable to grow and move forward, and perhaps to see what has been there in front of them all along ...

I'm moving forward.
More to follow.

Hi Di, it was nice to hear from you, thank you for visiting my blog :) And I'll for sure stop by here more frequently; I still miss Europe so much, and your journey into photography is fascinating, especially as I am thinking of embarking on a similar path. And I am finding it quite scary. Your photos are superb! Take care, Kerstin

movement is good. often difficult, always good. glad to read of your movement :-)
also, i wanted to thank you for the adorable 2CV photo. it is a feast for my eyes as that is the car i grew up in - i always get all mushy when i see one, which is not often these days.

Thanks Van. I was lucky, it was the way things lined up that day in a small village deep in the heart of France :)

I loved your blog, Kerstin so I guess the regular visits will be mutual :) Good luck with your path, I'll watch with interest.

I hope so kompostella, it's a little bit up and down at the moment but getting there.

I'm glad you enjoyed the 2CV photo :)

Hmmm, I shall keep that in mind, Rob. I hope to be back in Italy once or twice more this year. I'll make a note of your recommendation and let you know how it goes. Grazie :)

hi di,

i agree with what you said about moving forward. one of my friends once said that we must have "pinching points", times when we are challenged beyond usual, if we are to grow, otherwise we'll always be comfortable with the status quo.

p.s. thanks for visiting my blog. i look forward to getting to know you more.

I was glad to find your blog, odessa.

Pinching points, I like that and can surely relate to it lately.

I love those little cars. That would be a Citroen 2CV, right? We see ~very~ few of them around here (maybe one or two that I've seen in the whole of Toronto). That's a wonderful photo, Di. The red doors make it.

Best of luck with your "moving forward". I'll have to try that some day. I'm certainly uncomfortable, so maybe it's time to me to get moving, too!!

;-)

Knarf, you have to come to Europe. They were all over France, Gert was truly scared that I'd buy one and drive it home ... actually, I might have talked about doing that precise thing a lot while there.

I'm just waiting for the day that you get uncomfortable enough to do whatever it is that you should be doing :)

And thank you for the compliment re my photography. It's lovely coming from you!
