I found these candles in the beautiful old church in Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne and couldn't resist an attempt without flash.
It came into being as s a Benedictine Abbey back in 855 but wore other clothes too, as is the fate of these ancient buildings.
It was a beautiful place just to be ...
i am going to sample that red so that I can paint a wall in my house that color - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI should send you the original, I felt it lost a lot in the downsizing.
ReplyDeleteStunning shot Di! I would have loved to have seen the original: this is area is oozing with childhood memories for me!

I think someone's heart was stolen during that trip. :P
ReplyDeleteAll the pics are stunning and France is just a lovely backdrop.
Thank you so much for linking to me as it means I have now found your beautiful blog. I look forward to browsing through the archives, but I'm afraid I will have to set aside a rather large chunk of time to do so. I can't wait :)
ReplyDeleteYou know, I think you should go there Peter. It was so relaxing but for the saga of finding anything resembling an internet cafe.
ReplyDeleteBut take the camera and next time, I'd like to stay in Meyssac and would recommend it a a centrally located point, and very close to Collonges la Rouge and Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne.
Thanks Trisha, and nice to find you out here.
Maybe it was, Manic :) although I'm still longing to return to Italy.
Thanks Michelle. I had the same problem with yours and ending up spending quite some time reading through your site.
