At this coffee shop in Rome.
Sigh, I miss it still ... there's something about an early morning walk down the hill following the wall of Vatican city, passing by St Peter's Square, heading left towards Castel Sant'Angelo, then crossing Bernini's bridge of the angels, and wandering into the narrow streets across the river to tiny little place of heavenly coffee and pastries.
I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
gosh, that's beautiful
