I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.

Have you ever ...?
Bought clotted cream from someplace in Turkey, then drizzled pine or flower honey over the cream on your plate and mixed them together to eat with small pieces of fresh white Turkish bread?
Lol, it reminds me a little of those cream boston buns we used to eat, chiefbiscuit.
Hey Carolien, I'm glad. The odd thing was that I almost said no to the whole deal ... but it's ambrosia.
Lucky that I'm out here then Simon. It's one of those 'must do' things. Turkey has the best food in the world - if it's something good or sublime, they have it.
A little bossy perhaps, furiousball :)
36 hours? True dinks, Pam??? If not, then next time you're flying this way, it wouldn't be silly to pop over to Istanbul - just over 3 hours from Brussels.
Yummm ... sounds like heaven in a bun! ;)
ReplyDeleteI can almost taste it!
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying your travels, Di.
Strangely enough, no, I haven't.
ReplyDeleteClotted cream in Turkey? Seriously?
ok, fine i will.
ReplyDeletebossy
I'll get right on that. Stick around, I should be there in about, oh, 36 hours, and I'll need a guide to this clotted cream experience...
