I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
We were going to Bruges this morning but a change of plans found me out buying a new fixed lens (50mm), then wandering into the zoo using my year long pass.
We all have one ... I guess it's going to be a year of animal pics ;)
I hear the owls at night when I'm sitting on my deck. Several times when I've been walking in the woods at dusk, I'm come upon them and seen them up close. Lovely creatures with their amazing wing span and round as a dinner plate eyes.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds lovely, Ms V. I only saw the small NZ native owl called the Morepork because ... yep, that's what it's call sounds like.
ReplyDeleteI love them, they look so wise and all-knowing.
Ah, so you treated yourself to the 50mm? Have fun with it...
ReplyDeleteOh Simon! I so am!
