A title change ...

An innocent, I wandered over to the blog of Baroness La Gatita the Ceaseless of Midhoop St Giggleswich and returned forever changed.

My Peculiar Aristocratic Title is:
Lady Di the Ineffable of Helions Bumpstead

For those of you who, like me, are a little uncertain about the precise meaning of ineffable, read on ... not to be spoken because of its sacredness; unutterable: the ineffable name of the deity.

  1. Hi Di,

This is totally daft - so I did it!

Thanks for raising a Monday smile!

    Cheers,

    Alex

  2. Mine seems really weird:

"Reverend Lord Peter the Nimble of Old Tonbridge Wafers"

    :-)

  3. I do hope you post your new peculiar title, Alex. And I raised a Monday smile ... I'm so proud.

I don't know, Peter. 'Reverend' has a nice ring to it and nimble is cute too. I like it :)

  4. I know you've seen it Di, but I'll pop it here anyway, coz it's utterly daft and fun:

Emperor Alexander the Paragon of Fishkill St Wednesday

    Lovely monocle popping stuff, what?

    Ciao,

    Alex

  5. I did another one:

Viscount Alexander the Reticent of Happy Bottomshire

I say, spilt the old brandy all over the jolly old place.

Raised more than the odd guffaw!

    Cheerio,

    Yours reticently from Happy Bottomshire.

    Viscount Emperor Alex

  6. Loved the second one Alex. My daughter's first name was hilarious but we lost it, not realising that there's a new one everytime you renew.

  10. Mine was slightly disappointing: "Earl Simon the Purple of Dickens St. Charles".
Maybe I'll keep trying until I find one I like.
It's not as if I have anything better to do this afternoon...
