I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
I had already had too much coffee that day but have kind of noted the location of that coffee shop (I'm usually lost in those Antwerpen back streets though).
Absolutely stunning.
ReplyDelete"Hey, a pro with Photoshop and a lot of talent" was also my first impression.
But like you noticed, pure reality (and a talent to spot it) can be more impressive than the most elaborate digital tricks.
Hey thanks Peter. I try to rarely or minimally use Photoshop because I have this thing about reality ...
ReplyDeleteIt gets hard to hold onto when I see some of the things photoshop can do but reality is one of my things and has been since I was small.
It radiates you all over :D or wait, the coffee shot is more you, I believe.
ReplyDeleteLol, is that so, Meneer Manic.
